  • The Graduate Residence Hall Director (RHD) is a Graduate Assistantship where Professionals in pursuit of a Master’s degree in Higher Education Leadership, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology and Counseling, or related degree programs live in our Residence Hall. These live-in professionals supervise student staff (4-15 RAs, 10 Front Desk Workers, Office Manager, etc.), oversee hall community of 200+ residents, serve on departmental committees, and facilitate community building across their residential Community.   • The Residential Education Graduate Assistant is a 10-month, 19 hours a week, live-in graduate professional position with Housing and Residence Life. This position reports to the Associate Director of Residence Life and is responsible for helping fulfill the Office of Housing and Residence Life’s mission to create a holistic living and learning community that fosters education, diversity, civic engagement, recreation, and personal growth through programming and leadership opportunities.   • The Facilities & Operations Graduate Assistant is a 10-month assistantship with the Office of Housing and Residence Life. Reporting to the Associate Director of Housing, this provides administrative support in a central office setting. The Graduate Assistant works with the Associate Director of Housing in supervision of the Student Facility Assistants, performing walkthroughs and inspections of all residential facilities, and submitting/following up with work orders.   1. Interviews: First round of interviews will take place via phone, and the second round via Teams or Zoom.

  2. Campus Visit: In collaboration with the Division of Student Affairs, we offer a Student Affairs Graduate Assistantship Interview day. On this interview day, all housing candidates will have an opportunity to take a campus tour. This day may serve as your first interview in the 2-step interview process.

  3. Final Decisions: Final Decisions will be made in April/May and are contingent upon acceptance into the Graduate program of your choice and successful completion of a criminal background check. All application materials must be submitted to the Graduate school prior to February 1st in order to continue to be considered for a Housing Graduate Assistantship. Priority deadline candidates should have graduate school materials submitted prior to the priority deadline. Official start dates and moving details will be communicated at the time of the offer.
