Degree Works is an online academic planning tool that integrates with the VSU Banner system to help students know what courses and requirements are needed to graduate timely and productively. Students are encouraged to use Degree Works tools as a guide when planning course registration and long-term progress toward degree completion.

Adobe

Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe CC) v2019.1 is being installed on computers in campus classrooms and labs, including instructor workstations. Adobe CC is a collection of software used for graphic design, video editing, web development, and photography (e.g., Photoshop, Premiere, and Illustrator). To access the new Creative Cloud applications in classrooms/labs where installation has been completed, you will be prompted to log in using the VSU Enterprise Identification.

The University uses Microsoft 365 (M365), both the web-based and desktop version, as one of its primary productivity, collaboration, and communication tools. M365 includes a variety of applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneDrive, Copilot, Bookings, and several other applications. It is installed on computers in classrooms, learning spaces, virtual computer labs, and offices throughout campus. It can also be accessed on individual devices.

IBM SPSS

SPSS is a statistical analysis package that is commonly used in classes related to research or data and is available in select classrooms/labs. Active students may request acccess to the software and registration key to install on their personal computer. During installation, enter the registration key provided when prompted. IMPORTANT NOTE: Each year in October, the registration key for SPSS will change and students who wish to continue using the software will need to complete the request form again.

Blazer Athletics integrates news, team information, gameday notifications for all Blazer athletic events both home and away, as well as ways to purchase VSU tickets and apparel.

The Presence/BlazerLink (called Presence or Modern Campus Presence until you choose VSU as your campus) keeps you engaged with campus activities, student organizations, and important deadlines.

Students are eligible for 5 free copies of the Microsoft Office mobile app (along with a separate 5 copies to install on their computers). In addition, we strongly recommend using the Microsoft Authenticator app, as it is the most convenient way to access your MyVSU and other services that require you to log in.

Public Safety (Blazer Guardian)

The Blazer Guardian app (called Rave Guardian until you connect it to your VSU account) gives you a number of useful public safety features, such as asetting a safety time (virtual escort) that notifies university police if you did not arrive at your campus destination in the amount of time you specified.

Residence Hall Laundry (Speed Queen)

The Speed Queen app allows students in residence halls to use the laundry machines and get notifications when their laundry is ready.

Simply download the Speed Queen app and create an account using your VSU email and creating a unique password. If you forget your password or need to change it, click Forgot Password from the Log in screen and follow directions.
