b'A Persona (5ed) Truth: An Ideological Analysis of the Persona 5 Video GameRobert Alexander Foster, Department of Communication ArtsFaculty Sponsor: Dr. Nicole B. Cox, Department of Communication ArtsThis paper examines the video game, Persona 5. The game centers around a group of teenagers who gain powers in another world; the teenagers use said powers in order to convince criminals to confess to their crimes. The paper discusses, through an ideological method, that despite taking place in a fictional setting, the game itself has more connections to todays society than most would think. The game generally treats females as more than just sexual stereotypes, or men as people who are unable and refuse to show emotion other than anger. The game shows that we as humans, label people without truly knowing each other, and the possible consequences of that. Overall, Persona 5 shows us how to treat people whether good, bad, indifferent, or unknown. An Equal Empire: A Character Analysis of Star WarsSaige Remington Ashe and Karen, Department of Mass MediaFaculty Sponsor: Dr. Nicole Cox, Department of Mass MediaStar Wars has been a long-time influencer in the eyes of media consumption everywhere.
