Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn, this bee is one unforgettable experience.

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents (played by adult actors) vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.

THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is, like PSSTs 2023 SPAMALOT and 2022s SISTER ACT - a PG13 musical. A riotous ride, complete with audience participation, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is a delightful den of comedic genius.

Very much in the spirit of our 2022 production of AIN’T MISBEHAVIN’, FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE is an exuberant tribute to the music of rhythm and blues pioneer and alto saxophonist, Louis Jordan. FIVE GUYS NAMED MOE is an international sensation. Initially produced in London's West End by the legendary Cameron Mackintosh, this exhilarating, all-embracing theatrical experience moved to Broadway in 1992 and was nominated for two Tony Awards. The 20+ songs include “Caldonia,” “Don’t Let the Sun Catch You Cryin’,” and “Is You Is or Is You Ain’t My Baby.” The recognizable and enticing score appeals to a variety of audiences, and the uproarious audience participation will have spectators leaping out of their seats to join the celebration!

Louis Jordan is an American saxophonist-singer prominent in the 1940s and ’50s who was a seminal figure in the development of both rhythm & blues and rock & roll. The bouncing, rhythmic vitality of his music, coupled with clever lyrics and an engaging stage presence, enabled Jordan to become one of the few African American artists of the 1940s to enjoy crossover popularity with white audiences. Jordan and his Tympany Five (a name chosen despite the fact that he was normally accompanied by six musicians, none of whom played tympani) became by 1942 one of the most popular recording acts in the country. They often combined Count Basie-style riffs with a buoyant, boogie-based shuffle though largely retaining the sound and subject matter of his African American roots.

With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations... and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt! She finds a new home and family in billionaire, Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, ANNIE has become a worldwide phenomenon and was the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
