Banner is an application that Valdosta State University uses to manage administrative information ranging from class registration and scheduling, and student grades to human resources and financial information.

There are two distinct components of the Banner system:

  1. Banner Web Self-Service
  2. Banner Forms

Banner Web Self-Service

Banner Web Self-Service offers unique functionality based on your associated role:

Students Services

  • Check admission status (Perspective Students)
  • Register for orientation
  • Add or drop classes and review class schedules
  • Review financial aid and housing information

  • View grades and access/order academic transcripts

HOW TO ACCESS BANNER WEB SELF-SERVICE

Perspective Students:  Until officially accepted to the University, log in to Banner Web using your 870 User ID and password.

Current Students and Faculty: Log in to Banner Web using your MyVSU  (Active Directory) username and password.

Banner Forms (Banner INB)

Banner Forms (Banner INB) is a desktop application that is installed on a Valdosta State University office computer. It is used by administrators, such as department heads, in order to perform advanced Banner functions such as class overrides.

In order to request Banner Forms access, please complete the Internet Native Banner (INB) Account Request Form on the Office of the Registrar's Forms Page. You will need the Adobe Reader plug-in in order to view this file. Instructions for sending in the application appear on the form.
