RED Recognizing the Excellent and Distinguished

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new Employee Recognition Program - RED (Recognizing the Excellent and Distinguished) and the vital role you will have in the success as a supervisor.

Supervisors Make a Great Impact!

A culture of appreciation and recognition is paramount to fostering a thriving and motivated community of employees. Supervisors play a pivotal role in this process, as they have the unique ability to amplify the positive impact of each individual's contributions. Expressing genuine gratitude and acknowledging the hard work and dedication of our staff not only boosts morale and job satisfaction but also cultivates an environment of collaboration and mutual respect. When supervisors take the time to celebrate achievements, provide constructive feedback, and publicly commend outstanding performance, it not only bolsters the self-esteem of employees but also reinforces the shared values that underpin VSU.

Supervisors Make THE Difference!

When a RED nomination is submitted for an employee, the RED Committee will promptly send a RED Recognition email to the employee to make them aware of the nomination. This new process provides instant feedback to the employee, a departure from the delayed response times often experienced with ICYC. Additionally, RED will also notify you (the respective supervisor) via email, of this remarkable achievement. The email will also contain a link to the Supervisor’s Tool Kit, which provides a variety of different awards designed for RED recipients. You simply need to select one from the options below, add your employee’s information, and then present the award in a way that resonates most with your employee!

Indeed, every employee is unique, therefore the way to recognize achievements should also be personalized. We need you to be engaged with your employees, get to know them as individuals and what really motivates them. We highly encourage you to provide Language of appreciation assessment to your employees at your next team meeting and using the results, personalize future recognition (not just those from RED) to your employees in ways that is meaningful to them. Your genuine involvement will help strengthen our recognition efforts, bringing the team closer together and creating a positive workplace where everyone feels worthy.
