Crime Prevention

The Crime Prevention Officer's primary function is the reduction or elimination of criminal opportunities before a crime can occur. Sgt. H. Browning conducts shoplifting, armed robbery, and counterfeit money seminars for campus employees. Additionally, she conducts seminars for the campus community such as Sexual Assault/Rape Prevention, Personal Safety, Alcohol & Drugs Prevention Classes, Operation I.D., Employee & Student Orientation, and Civilian Response to Active Threat Situations. Other duties include supervision of the B.A.T (Bicycle Anti-Theft) program and coordinates a self-defense class called S.A.F.E (Self-Defense Awareness & Familiarization Exchange).
