Lead Conservation Information Analyst - Metropolitan Museum

The Met will be implementing Conservation Studio across all our conservation departments. We have a new role to lead the project.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
You manage the implementation of the Museum’s conservation and documentation system, across all conservation departments and scientific research while working closely with staff in those areas to ensure a successful transition to the new system. You prepare and plan the launch of the new system, establish new workflows, and create best practices for conservation documentation. You are responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the TMS system and will continue to collaborate with conservation staff in addressing their documentation needs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Plan system implementation and ensure all vendor requirements and deadlines are met.
- Manage data cleanup projects in preparation for data migration.
- Conduct thorough user and system administration testing prior to launch.
- Lead conservation staff in identifying and designing new workflows.
- Establish best practices and standards for conservation documentation in partnership with conservation staff.
- Create custom program configurations, including screens and security settings.
- Manage and plan system upgrades in collaboration with Manager of Collection Information.
- Serve as primary contact with the vendor
- Manage large scale data projects
- Performs ongoing activities and training to maintain and enhance TMS system
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Art History, Museum Studies, Information Science, or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years working with museum cataloguing or collections management
- Experience with The Museum System (TMS)
- Knowledge and understanding of relational database systems
- SQL Server skills (or other relational database skills)
- Experience with end-user training; verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational, proofreading, and analytical skills
Compensation Range:
- Pay Range: $85,000 - $100,000

Location Requirements

The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Library Associate in the Materials Management Department. The ideal candidate must possess intermediate level computer skills, be proficient with Microsoft Excel, and have basic knowledge of MARC bibliographic records. he Research Impact Librarian is a faculty appointment in the NYU Grossman School of Medicine and would be part of the collaborative and innovative Research Data and Metrics team. The Research Impact Librarian will be responsible for providing and promoting existing bibliometric services and resources and developing new ones. The ideal candidate will be comfortable doing data cleaning, analysis, and visualization in at least one programming language, have a strong understanding of methodological and ethical best practices for measuring and disseminating research impact, and an understanding of the wide range of academic outputs and impact indicators.
Compensation and Benefits
The NYU School of Medicine offers faculty a competitive compensation and benefits package covering health insurance, retirement benefits, time off, tuition benefits, wellness programs, and more. Director of Administrative Services - University of Florida, George A. Smathers Libraries
The George A. Smathers Libraries are seeking a self-motivated, collaborative, analytical, detail-oriented individual to lead its Business Services and Human Resources units. The Director of Administrative Services reports to the Dean of University Libraries and provides leadership as the primary business services and human resources officer for the Smathers Libraries, including oversight of human resources functions, organization development and training, financial functions, and budget planning and analysis. The Director provides financial oversight of all Smathers Libraries revenues, expenditures, and reserves including development of fiscal policies, internal controls, and business protocols and oversight of contracts and grants. The Director also guides all human resources activities related to faculty, staff, and student employee regulations and policies. The Libraries employ approximately 300 FTE and maintain a total budget in excess of $43.3 million annually.
