LCOBA Study Abroad Scholarship Program

The Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration (LCOBA) at Valdosta State University has established a scholarship program to assist business students with their study abroad endeavors. Scholarships are available for approved study abroad initiatives and are administered by the Study Abroad Scholarship Committee, which consists of LCOBA faculty members and the Study Abroad Advisor at the Center for International Programs (CIP).

Semester-Long Exchange Program or Internship Abroad.

How to Apply

Deadlines

  • Spring programs: October 15
  • Fall programs: April 15

Eligibility Requirements

  • Declared business major in one of the following: Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, or Marketing in LCOBA.
  • Full-time undergraduate student pursuing a degree in LCOBA, with courses counting toward degree completion.
  • US. citizen.
  • In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 after completing at least 45 credit hours. 
  • Seeking financial assistance for a semester-long exchange program or internship abroad.
  • Enrolled in approved business courses, with course equivalences approved by LCOBA.
  • Enrolled in at least 12 credit hours.

 Awards

  • Scholarships vary depending on the number of qualified applicants, with awards typically around $2500.00
  • Funds are deposited into the student’s account.
  • If a student withdraws from a study abroad program after receiving an award, scholarship funds will be withdrawn or a hold placed on students records until scholarship has been returned.
