>> Welcome to the Valdosta State University - Art Department >>

The Art Department offers four comprehensive undergraduate degree programs and opportunities designed to prepare students for professional involvement in a 21st century environment. In addition to traditional studio programs the Department also offers instruction in Art Education, Interior Design, Art History, and electronic media, such as Animation, Graphic Design & Photography.

The BFA degrees with majors in art, interior design, and art education are professional degrees that prepare students for a variety of occupations or further educational experiences. The BA in art allows the flexibility of designing a comprehensive liberal arts curriculum that may lead to graduate school or develop into entrepreneurial careers in the visual arts.
