This performance commemorates the 100-year anniversary that Karl L. King, the famed circus band composer, and conductor, came to Fort Dodge, Iowa, to lead the Fort Dodge Municipal Band for the next 51 years. His contributions to the community and municipal band movement are incalculable.
This performance recreates the type of performance presented by community bands 100 years ago, including performances of marches, orchestral transcriptions, and performances by feature soloists.
