Academic Advisory Council 

Advisory Council Members: Beibei Brantly, Wendy Butler, Linda dela Garza, Joseph Jones, Alicia Roberson, Michelle Ritter, Mary Beth Rousseau, Lori Sable, Rozelle Slaymon, and Phillip Storey.

The Academic Advisory Council at Valdosta State University began based on the recommendation of the National Institute for Student Success Playbook. According to the NISS, the committee's purpose is to align advising policies, practices, and procedures, and creating consistency across campus for all advisors. The council also provides feedback from colleagues and students, focusing on solutions to ensure a consistent, supportive, and a student-centered advising experience.
