To register your Internet of Things (IoT) devices, such as gaming consoles and other entertainment devices, you will need to know your device MAC address (example: 06:CA:12:F3:BC:7A). Below are steps to help you locate the MAC address of some of the most common gaming and entertaining devices available. If your device is not listed or for the most up-to-date information, please check the user manual or official website for your device.

Playstation 5 | Playstation 4 | Playstation 3 | Nintendo 3DS | Wii U | Switch | Xbox 360 | Xbox One | Xbox Series X or S | Roku | Apple TV | Google TV | Sony Blu-Ray Player | TiVo | Vizio Smart TV

PC and Apple (Macintosh) computers do not need to be registered since computers, laptops, and tablets typically connect to VSU-WiFi or VSU-LegacyWiFi network. However, steps for finding the MAC address have been included on this page for diagnostic purposes.

1. Power up your PS4 with no disc in the drive

2. Select Settings from the Main Menu

3. Select Network 

4. Select View Connection Status

Your MAC Address (Wi-Fi) will be displayed

1. On the Xbox 360 controller, press the Guide button (the green X button in the center)  

2. Select Settings. 

3. Select System.

4. Select Network Settings.

5. For wireless connection, select Wireless Network   

6. Select Configure Network

7. Select the Additional Settings tab on the upper right, and then select Advanced Settings.

Your MAC address will be displayed.

4. Under IP settings, the MAC address will be listed next to Wired MAC and Wireless MAC on the right-hand side of the screen (this is also where the IP address and other information is located).

1. Make sure that the BD player and TV or display device are turned on

2. Using the remote control supplied with the BD player, press the HOME button

3. Use the left arrow or right arrow to select Setup

4. Use the up arrow or down arrow to select System Settings

5. Press ENTER

6. Select System Information

7. Press ENTER

1. Type cmd into the search bar on the bottom left corner of your desktop and press the Enter key on your keyboard.

2. A Command Prompt window will appear. Type ipconfig/all and press the Enter key on your keyboard.

3. Scroll down to the section titled Wireless Adapter Ethernet.

4. Look for the entry titled Physical Address. Your MAC address will be displayed to the right.

1. Click the System Preferences icon on your dock.

2. When the System Preferences panel opens, click the Network icon.

3. In the left sidebar, click Wi-Fi to highlight it. Then, click the Advanced button.

4. Click the Hardware tab. When this tab opens, your MAC address will be displayed.
