Thank you for your interest in becoming a mentor! There are many benefits to this role such as increasing your professional network, enhancing your leadership and communication skills, as well as the enjoyment of helping someone else succeed. In addition, becoming a mentor will expand your professional skillset, provide various recognition opportunities, as well as help you exceed performance areas in your employee feedbacks. 

 

In order to become a Mentor, the following requirements apply:

  • Minimum one-year employment at VSU
  • Must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement
  • Minimum overall rating of “Successful” on most recent performance evaluation (with no documentation of progressive discipline within six months)
  • Cannot be in a direct reporting relationship with the Mentee
  • Must be willing to commit to the program for at least one year
  • Complete Mentorship Agreement Form
