Career Opportunities Helps Students Create a Professional Image OnlineVALDOSTA — The Office of Career Opportunities at Valdosta State University will present Blazer Ready Series: Creating an Online Presence from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, in Student Union Meeting Room 1. Pizza and drinks will be served.
During this interactive workshop, students will learn how to use their online presence on social media platforms, job search websites, and more to create a professional image.
“We spend so much time polishing our resumes and preparing for interviews in the job search process, but many of us fail to consider our online presence,” said Tiffany Soma, a career counselor in the Office of Career Opportunities. “Your online presence is an extremely powerful tool that can easily prevent you from securing employment ... it can also can reveal your passion, help build trust and credibility, and make you stand out from others in your job search.”
VSU’s Office of Career Opportunities strives to provide career development and awareness, experiential learning and/or cooperative education, and professional employment opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students and alumni.
