Dine and Discover Navigates Moods and Foods

VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University Campus Wellness will present Dine and Discover: The Mood-Food Connection from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, in Student Union Meeting Room 1A and B. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to attend.
 
Patty White-Cosey, a licensed professional counselor, will discuss how stress and emotions can trigger overeating and food cravings. She will teach participants alternative ways to cope with their feelings. White-Cosey is the co-owner of Therapy Center Valdosta and specializes in the treatment of children, child custody evaluations, marriage and family issues, mood disorders, and borderline personality disorders.
 
Dine and Discover is a monthly educational series sponsored by South Georgia Medical Center. VSU Campus Wellness works alongside SGMC to promote and encourage an increased awareness and practice of a healthy lifestyle.
