Career Opportunities Hosts Education Career Day Nov. 20

VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University will host an Education Career Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, in the University Center’s Magnolia and Cypress rooms. Students and alumni interested in working in the field of education are invited to attend.

Representatives from over 35 school systems from cities across Georgia and parts of Florida and South Carolina will be available to meet with attendees from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and then conduct interviews from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Not all employers will conduct interviews.

Participants should dress professionally, bring several copies of their resume, and arrive by 10 a.m. for maximum exposure to school system representatives.

A list of participating school systems is available on the Career Opportunities website www.valdosta.edu/career). Attending the fair does not guarantee a job offer.

The first 100 attendees will receive a prize, and all participants are encouraged to register to win one of two grand prizes of $100 each.

Contact DeLois Hargett, employer relations coordinator with VSU Career Opportunities, at (229) 333-5942 or dhargett@valdosta.edu for more information.
