VSU Hosts Commencement Ceremonies Dec. 10 and 11

VALDOSTA -- Valdosta State University will host fall commencement ceremonies on Friday, Dec. 10 and Saturday, Dec. 11. Approximately 900 students have applied to graduate this semester.

The commencement ceremony for students receiving a master’s, specialist or doctoral degree will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 10.

On Saturday, Dec. 11, commencement festivities will begin at 10 a.m. for Dewar College of Education. At 1 p.m. students from the College of the Arts, Langdale College of Business Administration and College of Nursing will walk across the stage. The commencement ceremony for the College of Arts and Sciences will begin at 4 p.m.

During the 4 p.m. ceremony, Wade and Geri Coleman will receive the President’s Medallion, which is presented to individuals who have demonstrated remarkable generosity of time and personal resources to the university.

All commencement ceremonies will be held in the P.E. Complex, located on Baytree Road. Graduates are required to arrive one hour prior to the ceremony.
