| Texts and labkits for eCore are not readily available at the VSU Bookstore. If financial aid is your only means of payment, the VSU Bookstore may be able to special order eCore books and lab kits for you (which you can pay for with financial aid in person). Contact the VSU Bookstore ASAP if you will utilize this method, as there may be a delay in receiving your materials when late ordering. | |
spring 2012 eCore Registration
You will now register for eCore classes through VSU Banner.

Spring 2012 Registration Period
- Spring 2012 classes start January 9th
- All students MUST log into their Spring 2012 eCore classes before January 17th, , 11:59 pm/ EST or they will be withdrawn.
- While VSU students enrolled in eCore courses must follow eCore withdrawal policies, any withdrawals from eCore may be counted in VSU's limited withdrawal policy.
- Spring 2012 Drop / Add January 9 - 13, 2012
- Please note: If you plan to add an eCore class during the first week of classes, remember that it will take additional time to order textbooks and lab kits.
MUST meet the following requirements before Registering:

Received your final acceptance from VSU and KNOW your VSU Live e-mail address.
- View the eCore Online Orientation and successfully complete the quiz at the end of the orientation. (REQUIRED for all new eCore students)
- MUST use your VSU Live e-mail address in the e-mail field.
- PLEASE ALLOW 48 HOURS (during business hours, ex: If you submit your quiz Friday-Sunday, you will not be able to access the system until the following Tuesday), after successfully completing the eCore Online Orientation Quiz for your Banner record to allow you to register for eCore sections.
- Met all course prerequisites (if there are any). (See our advisement handout for details: eCore-advising-vsu.pdf )
- Contact your Academic Advisor to have your advising registration flag lifted.
- Have a declared a major? If so, you will be assigned an advisor from within the department of your major. Please contact the department to inquire who your advisor is.
- Undeclared? The Admissions Department (229.333.5791) completes advising for undeclared and exploratory students. Please contact the office, let them know you are undeclared and would like to take eCore courses and they will direct you to an available advisor.
- Transient? The Admissions department (229.333.5791) completes advising for transient students. Please contact the office, let them know you are a transient student and would like to take eCore courses and they will direct you to an available advisor.
- Learning Support? MUST be advised and have approval from their Learning Support Advisor BEFORE registering for eCore classes. Dr. Beverly Blake is the Assistant Director of Academic Support and is a Learning Support Advisor. Her contact information is: 229.245.4378 or brblake@valdosta.edu
- Clear any other holds from your VSU Banner record before registering.
