Getting Started

You will find additional information on getting started with eCore®, as well as FAQ's, may be found at http://www.georgiacenter.uga.edu/ecore/.

Admissions

  • To register for eCore® classes, you must be accepted as a student at Valdosta State University.

  • You must not be required to take any Learning Support classes.

  • If you are currently attending a college or university other than Valdosta State University, you have the option of applying for admissions as a transient student. As a transient student, your grades for the eCore® class will be sent to your home institution at the end of the semester.

  • Please note that admission and registration deadlines are different from those of traditional, on-campus students to allow for set up of WebCT accounts, etc.

To apply for admission or to obtain additional information please contact the Admissions Office. Be sure to state that you are interested in enrolling in eCore® courses.

Financial Aid

  • Regardless of whether you are taking eCore® courses as a transient student, a transfer student or as a new student, you may use financial aid to pay for eCore® courses just as you would with traditional campus classes.

  • You may contact the Financial Aid Office for assistance with determining your aid eligibility, application procedures and additional information.
