Use the At Risk Students form to report eCore students as being "at-risk."
Online Tutoring
The VSU Student Success Center offers online tutoring! Please direct students to the VSU Online Tutoring Program AskOnline website (their login will be their BlazeNet username and password). If they have any difficulty with any part of AskOnline, please ask them to contact Dr. Chere Peguesse at cpeguess@valdosta.edu or Terence Sullivan at tasullivan@valdosta.edu (please ask the student to identify themselves as an eCore student).
VSU Academic Advisor's Guide
Advising for eCore students is similar to that of traditional students, with a few exceptions.
-
eCore students are advised by an academic advisor in their major area of study.
-
If an eCore student does not have a declared major and does not know the area they would like to pursue, please have them contact the eLearning office (contact info at left) so that we may direct them to the appropriate area.
-
-
eCore students may not live close enough to be able to meet for an on campus advising session. Please work with your eCore advisees to determine the most appropriate advising strategy (on campus if appropriate, telephone, e-mail).
-
Students can once again register for eCore courses through Banner!
- Please do NOT override students into eCore sections (ex: ENGL 1101 section 01G) through Banner!! If eCore sections are full, please ask students to check back later to see if seats become available.
The VSU & eCore Course Equivalents webpage has links to course descriptions and equivalency information.
Guides:
- VSU Distance Learning eCore Advisement guide (PDF format) which includes a description of the eCore program, information on VSU & eCore course equivalents, registration and help information.
