Welcome, Adult Learners!
If you are an independent adult, transfer student, member of the military, a military veteran or professional who wants to earn a college degree, this site will offer resources to help make the most of your VSU experience. Whether you are beginning a college career or returning after several years, we are here to help assure your academic success.
AMP, or the Adult Degree Completion & Military Programs, is a VSU department designed to provide support and services to the “non-traditional” student. Formation of AMP is evidence of VSU’s commitment to improving the success of adult learners. Here at VSU we value your life experiences and recognize that balancing home, business, and family obligations is no easy task.

VSU is designated as an Adult Learning Focused Institution (ALFI), one of a coalition of colleges and universities striving to remove barriers to degree completion for adult learners. For more about the ALFI program and the Council of Adult and Experiential Learning, follow the link.
VSU is a member of the University System of Georgia Adult Learning Consortium and a participant in the Discover Your GOAL program (Georgia Opportunities for Adult Learners) sponsored by the Georgia Board of Regents.
