Important Weather Update on Saturday, May 10, 2025
With severe weather concerns and the safety of all VSU students, employees, and guests in mind, tonight’s Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will be moved indoors to The PE Complex and broken up into three ceremonies. Doing this allows as many guests to attend as possible WITHOUT TICKETS. Please see the ceremony times and colleges below that show where students in each college should report once they arrive at The Complex. Maps of each ceremony are also below.

Ceremony Time: 1:30 p.m. Doors open for graduates and guests at 12:30 p.m. Colleges: College of the Arts, College of Science and Mathematics, and College of Nursing and Health Sciences Check-In Side A (north side): College of the Arts (Communication Arts at one table, Art & Design and Music at other table) and College of Science and Mathematics (all graduates check in at one table) Check-In Side B (south side): College of Nursing and Health Sciences (Nursing graduates check-in at one table, all Health Sciences degrees check in at the other table)

Ceremony Time: 4:30 p.m. Doors open for graduates and guests at 3:30 p.m. College: College of Humanities and Social Sciences and Air Force ROTC Check-In Side A (north side): Political Science, Psychology, and Interdisciplinary Studies graduates check in on this side Check-In Side B (south side): All other degrees in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences check in at one table and Air Force ROTC graduates check in at the other table

Ceremony Time: 7:30 p.m. Doors open for graduates and guests at 6:30 p.m. Colleges: Harley Langdale, Jr. College of Business Administration and James L. and Dorothy H. Dewar College of Education and Human Services
Check-In Side A (north side): Harley Langdale, Jr. College of Business Administration (Finance, Accounting, and Applied Economics graduates at one table and General Business, Management, and Marketing graduates check-in at the other table)
Check-In Side B (south side): James L. and Dorothy H. Dewar College of Education and Human Services (Communication Sciences and Disorders, Leadership, Technology, and Workforce Development, and Professional Education check in at one table while Teacher Education and Human Services graduates check in at the other table)

Accessibility Parking and Drop-Off
Accessibility parking and drop-offs will be in the Sustella Parking Lot on the west side of The Complex. Accessibility parking is first come first serve.
Parking and Transportation:
Parking is available for all guests in the Oak Street Parking Deck and Oak Street Parking Lot, which are just to the south of The Complex, along with the Sustella Parking Deck on Sustella Avenue. Those are in green on the map above. Shuttles will be running to the Oak Street lot and both parking decks and will drop guests off by The Complex.
Graduate Information Table:
It is located on the second floor of The Complex on the east side.
Accessibility Seating:
The accessibility entrance is on the west side of The Complex from the Sustella parking lot. Accessibility seating is on the floor of The Complex behind the graduates. If you need assistance, please ask one of the many volunteers on site. Accessibility seating is first come first served and is for the guest needing accommodations and one other person only. Restrooms: Restrooms are located in most corners of The Complex on both the first and second floors. Please ask a volunteer if you need assistance finding a restroom.

February 18, 2025: Career After Hours: A Professional Networking Event, 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the Career Opportunities Suite, 2nd Floor Student Union behind Starbucks
February 19, 2025: All Majors Career Fair, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the Student Union Ballrooms
March 4-5, 2025: Grad Finale, in person on the 1st floor of the Student Union and online. 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. both days. (learn more about Grad Finale below)
**March 25, 2025: First FREE Graduate Photo Day, 10 a.m. - noon on VSU's Front Lawn. Wear your regalia or best red and black business attire.
March 28, 2025: Last day to buy your cap and gown ONLINE with assurances it will arrive before the ceremony. Click here to order online. You can still purchase your regalia in the VSU Bookstore in the Student Union until Commencement.
March 28, 2025: Last day to apply for Spring 2025 graduation. Click here to apply.
**April 3, 2025: Second FREE Graduate Photo Day, 10 a.m. - noon on VSU's Front Lawn. Wear your regalia or your best red and black business attire.
April 9, 2025: Vision Board Party, 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. in Converse Square

**If there is inclement weather during the Free Grad Photo Days, the make up date is the very next day, same time and location.

Applying for Graduation
Graduates should apply for graduation with the Registrar’s Office the semester before they expect to graduate. Talking with your academic advisor can help with this process. The application must be received and the application fee must be paid before students are cleared to graduate.
