Welcome from the Vice President

Creating Opportunities. Supporting Success.

Welcome to Valdosta State University!

At VSU, we believe a student's success begins long before the first day of class and extends well beyond graduation. From the moment a prospective student begins exploring VSU, our responsibility is to create opportunities, remove barriers, and provide the support and experiences that help students achieve their goals.

The Division of Enrollment and Student Affairs brings together the people, programs, and services that support students throughout their university experience. Our work includes helping students discover VSU, navigate the admissions and financial aid processes, build meaningful connections on campus, and develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed academically, personally, and professionally.

We know that student success requires more than any one office or program. It takes a university-wide commitment, strong partnerships with faculty and staff, and a campus culture where students feel welcomed, supported, and challenged to reach their potential.

Our approach is centered on three priorities: expanding access to higher education, creating an exceptional student experience, and helping more students persist through graduation. Whether through student organizations, leadership opportunities, campus traditions, or individualized support, we want every student to find their place at VSU and make the most of their college experience.

I am proud of the dedicated professionals across Enrollment and Student Affairs who work every day to make these opportunities possible. Together with our colleagues throughout the university, we are committed to helping students succeed and strengthening the communities we serve.

Whether you are considering VSU, preparing to join us, or already part of the Blazer family, I encourage you to take advantage of the many opportunities available here. We look forward to being part of your journey.

Sincerely,

Dr. Vince Miller
Vice President for Enrollment and Student Affairs
