The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at Valdosta State University is federally funded through the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Migrant Education for a 5-year grant period. The CAMP Program was established to assist seasonal farm workers, or their dependents, through their first year of college. CAMP will support these students by providing intensive academic, social, and financial support to help them succeed during their first year at VSU and continue with their postsecondary education.

Each year, the program welcomes 25 CAMP students who are passionate and dedicated to achieving their dreams of a college education.

Please Note: All CAMP programs nationwide, including ours at VSU, are currently awaiting the release of federal funding for the 2025–2026 academic year. While we remain hopeful that funding will be awarded, we are still actively encouraging students to apply for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Submitting your CAMP interest application allows us to stay in touch, share updates as they become available, and connect you with important support services, such as help applying to VSU, completing the FAFSA, and exploring other scholarship opportunities.

Our commitment to serving first-year students from farmworker backgrounds remains strong, and we’re here to support you no matter what.
