VSU Welcomes More Than 3,700 New Students in Fall 2026

VALDOSTA, Ga. - The numbers are in for the new Blazers at Valdosta State University (VSU) for the fall 2026 semester. Overall enrollment will be up, but final numbers will not be known for a few more weeks. Keep reading to see the global reach of Blazer Nation. 

Fall 2026 New Students: 3,729

• New Freshmen: 43%
• Graduate Students: 29%
• Transfer Students: 14%
• Dual Enrolled: 12%
• Other Undergraduate: 2%

Fall 2026 New Freshmen: 1,609

• From Georgia: 88%
• From Florida: 9%
• Countries Represented: 19
• States and Territories Represented: 14

This is the largest first time, full-time freshman class at VSU since fall 2021. (Source)

• From Georgia: 80%
• Countries Represented: 18
• States and Territories Represented: 40

The Graduate School continues to see record enrollment after crossing 3,000 students for the first time in August 2024.
