VALDOSTA — Morgan Wynn of Valdosta, Georgia, is the recipient of Valdosta State University’s 2024-2025 American Association of University Women Award.
The American Association of University Women Award is presented to a female student with a minimum overall grade point average of 3.5 who has demonstrated talents for intellectual growth and leadership through her involvement in clubs, organizations, projects, and/or work experience throughout her time at VSU.
“Winning this award is very motivating to me as I look towards representing VSU in my future endeavors,” she said. “I have genuinely loved my time here at VSU. I have established so many relationships with students and faculty that I will cherish for many years to come. Being selected for this award by this community and institution just makes my entire time here that much more rewarding. I am so excited and encouraged about my next steps towards my medical career and making this university proud!”
Wynn previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Chemistry in May 2024. She graduates again this summer with a Master of Science in Biology, which she completed in record time through the accelerated undergraduate-to-graduate track. She will continue her education this fall as a student in the Mercer University School of Medicine’s Doctor of Medicine program.
“I owe all my success to the continued support of my family, especially my parents, Clint and Keren Wynn, and my grandparents, Jerry and Christine Bass,” she shared. “God has truly blessed me with some incredible people in my life, and I would not be able to do anything without my friends and family members encouraging me and looking after me.”
