VSU Invites Community to Enjoy Summer Fun on Campus

VALDOSTA — Valdosta State University is excited to announce a summer calendar filled with family friendly activities for residents of Valdosta-Lowndes County and beyond. This includes Broadway-caliber musical theatre as well as lots of opportunities for community children and teens to have fun; improve their academic, social, creative, and/or physical skills; develop an appreciation of recreation, the outdoors, and being part of a community; and improve their athletic performance. 

JUNE 2022

Musical Theatre: Peach State Summer Theatre at Valdosta State University presents Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” June 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 19, 26, and 29. This premiere professional summer stock theatre program has been entertaining audiences of all ages since 1990. Recreation Camp: Valdosta State University Campus Recreation presents Youth Day Camp for community children ages 6-12 June 6-10 (Kick-Off Week), June 13-17 (Yay Sports Week), June 20-24 (Get Vertical Week), and June 27-July 1 (Shooting Sports Week). The camp meets at the Student Recreation Center and is designed to encourage an appreciation of recreation, the outdoors, and being part of a community.
