VSU Students Invited to Participate in Leadership Lowndes Logo Contest

VALDOSTA - Valdosta State University students are invited to participate in Leadership Lowndes Logo Contest to create a new and fresh look for the organization.

For the past 25 years, Leadership Lowndes has been building a better Lowndes County by exposing existing and emerging leaders to local opportunities, building networks that address long-term solutions to community needs, and preparing members for a more active role in community leadership.  The organization seeks to begin the next quarter of a century with an innovative look—but with this sustained mission.

The logo contest provides a great opportunity for emerging artists, graphic designers and art students in the area to showcase their abilities, as well anyone in the community with the talent to create a professional logo that reflects the Leadership Lowndes organization.

Contest guidelines include that the logo must be the artist’s original work, must contain the words “Leadership Lowndes” and must reflect the Leadership Lowndes mission.  Each entry will be judged for its originality, its reflection of the Leadership Lowndes image, and its usefulness in portraying the mission of the organization.

In addition to the exposure, the 1st and 2nd place winners will also receive cash prizes, sponsored by Nexxtep Technology Services and Wes Sewell Photography.  All entries will become the property of Leadership Lowndes for all purposes.

Applications and artwork must be submitted to Leadership Lowndes via the online application, by 5 p.m., on Friday, Nov. 21.
