Proceeds will benefit the program’s main-stage production of The Old Maid and the Thief and The Telephone by Gian Carlo Menotti, scheduled for January 2015.

Opera After Dark: Tutto Italiano will begin at 7 p.m. with an authentic Italian dinner featuring lasagna, salad, and tiramisu prepared and served by culinary professionals at Jessie’s Eats and Treats. The concert performance will follow at 8 p.m.

“The show features VSU music students, faculty, and Valdosta community members performing some of the most beloved and well-known Italian opera arias, duets, and choruses,” said Dr. Karl Paoletti Jr., director of VSU Opera and an assistant professor in the university’s Department of Music.
