Persons with Disabilities Recognition Banquet to be Held Oct. 16

VALDOSTA – Valdosta State University’s Access Office and the Valdosta Mayor’s Council for Persons with Disabilities will co-sponsor the 18th Annual Awards and Recognition Banquet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 16, in the VSU University Center Magnolia Room.

Banquet attendees will celebrate exceptional people, organizations and businesses that are tearing down barriers for individuals with disabilities in the community. Jane Nichols, Goodwill President and CEO, and Will Place, a Goodwill Success Story, will be this year’s keynote speakers. They will be sharing exciting information about Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers and the new Training Center opening in Valdosta. 

The cost of tickets is $15 per person for a delicious, served meal. Payment for reserved seating will be collected at the door beginning at 6 p.m. on the evening of the banquet. Payments can either be made with cash or check. Seating is limited, so please make your reservations by Tuesday, Oct. 8.
