Entrepreneur and Reality TV Star to Speak at Langdale Lecture

VALDOSTA -- Alumna Tiffany Young will be the guest speaker at the Langdale Lecture at 5 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, in the Pound Hall Auditorium. The public is invited to hear Young’s presentation “From Lemons to Pink Lemonade,” which characterizes her whimsical personality and fascination with “all things pink.”

Young, 31, will share experiences from her journey to become a successful entrepreneur. As the owner of the Pink Pastry Parlor, she has carved out a unique niche in the tween party market by developing theme parties that captivate the imagination of young girls. She and her staff work to make each party both distinctive and entertaining.

Best known for her reality television show, “Party at Tiffany’s,” which has become the highest rated pre-teen program on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), Young has branded herself as a party planner extraordinaire, and her business is regarded as one of the premier cupcake and party destinations in Atlanta.

Young earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Valdosta State University in 2003, and said she is proud to be a first-generation college graduate.

Guest parking is available in the temporary lot near Pound Hall. For more information, call the Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration at 229-333-5991.
