VSU Residence Hall Association Hosted No Frills Conference

VALDOSTA -- The Valdosta State University Residence Hall Association (RHA) hosted a regional conference for more than 200 delegates and advisors during the week of March 12 - 16. The conference, called No Frills, was a two-day business style conference for the Southeast Atlantic Association of College and University Residence Halls (SAACURH).

Jacob Jones, the national communications coordinator for RHA, led the conference planning process. Through his leadership as Conference Chair, VSU hosted a very smooth and successful conference. There were more than 30 volunteers helping with the event, and their enthusiasm and support impressed attendees from all 10 states represented at the conference.

Additionally, Jacob Jones was elected to the regional board for SAACURH, and he will serve as the Regional Communication Coordinator for Administration during the 2012 - 2013 school year.

For more information about the conference, contact Sarah VanKuiken, assistant director of residential education, at (229) 333-5920.
