V-State Experience

VALDOSTA -- Valdosta State University President Patrick J. Schloss and other VSU representatives will travel throughout the state during the 2011 V-State Experience Tour, January 19 - April 14. Alumni along the eight-stop tour will host receptions for VSU alumni, parents, friends and prospective students.

More than 33,000 alumni live in Georgia, representing 67 percent of the total alumni base. John Trombetta, director of Alumni Relations, said the alumni-sponsored receptions provide the VSU community with an opportunity to connect with each other and the university. Prospective students and their parents are encouraged to come and speak with current students and their parents as well as alumni and friends about the Valdosta State University experience.

“We have two new features in our annual tour this year,” Trombetta said. “One is that we have appointed host committees to help bring our alumni out; secondly, we are encouraging all those associated with VSU to come out and share their experiences with prospective families and get an update about what is happening on campus.”
