VALDOSTA -- Blazer Dining will host a weeklong canned food drive
Nov. 8-12 to benefit the Blazer Pantry, Valdosta Food Bank, and
Second Harvest of South Georgia -- an organization that provides
more than 8 million pounds of food to more than 300 local charities
each year.
Although all cans and non-perishable items are appreciated,
preferred food items include: beans, soup, fruit, instant formula,
tuna, evaporated milk, chili and peanut butter.
Those interested
in participating may donate canned and other non-perishable foods
to any Campus Dining location, including Sustella and Langdale
markets.
A variety of other events -- such as a student organization can
challenge -- are also planned to inspire donations throughout the
week.

Each dollar raised will provide six meals at an area food
bank.
