Mu Zeta Named 'Superior Chapter'

VALDOSTA --The Valdosta State University chapter of business honorary Beta Alpha Psi was recognized as a 2009-10 Superior Chapter -- one of the highest achievements within the national organization -- at a recent meeting held in San Jose, Calif.

The Mu Zeta chapter, which serves students in VSU's Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration, was honored for its member's participation in regional and national activities as well as their commitment to both professional development and community service.

Student Nicholas Brogdon placed first with his team at the conference competition Project Run With It, which engaged students in real-world consulting for a non-profit organization. Tracey McGregor also competed. Other chapter members were recognized as International BAP Scholars, including Christopher Topham, Karlie Martin, Casey Harrell, Brandon Eichler, Melanie Terwoord, Stephen Rice, Christopher Heape, Eufemia Ketz, Sahil Grover and Shataqua Williams.

Beta Alpha Psi is the national scholastic and professional accounting, finance and information systems organization. Langdale College of Business Mu Zeta Chapter is open to students who are at least a sophomore, have declared accounting or finance as a major, and have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
