Reception Honors Local Registered Nurses

VALDOSTA--The fourth annual Valdosta Area Nursing Reception will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday May 6, in the Student Union Ballroom. Local agencies will present awards to professional registered nurses who have made a positive impact on patient care or the nursing profession.

Held on “National Nurses Day”, the reception is sponsored by the VSU College of Nursing, Georgia Nurses Association, Smith Northview Hospital, South Georgia Medical Center and South Health District.

With nearly 40 years of health care experience, Linda Ball, a registered nurse and critical care clinical instructor for Central Florida Health Alliance, will discuss how nurses positively impact patient care.

“Linda is an engaging and dynamic speaker,” said Charley Bedsole, one of the event coordinators. “She has an innate talent for addressing subjects in a manner that is both enlightening and entertaining.”
