VSU Teams Take Action for a Cure at Relay

VALDOSTA -- "Lights, Camera, Action for a Cure" is the theme for this year's American Cancer Society Relay for Life celebration, which will be held from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. April 23-24.

The overnight event challenges teams of students, faculty and staff to raise money for cancer research -- Hollywood style. Teams must have at least five members and registration is $5 per person, up to a $100 maximum. Register online at the Relay for Life Web site, www.relayforlife.org/vsu . The site also displays information about how much money has been raised and how many people are participating.

More than 40 teams have already registered and many are hosting fundraisers to support the walk for a cure. See below for more information and e-mail news@valdosta.edu to add your fundraiser to the list.
