VSU Summer Commencement Saturday Aug. 1

VALDOSTA - Valdosta State University will host commencement for more than 550 summer semester graduates from all colleges at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, in the P.E. Complex.

Students are asked to wear academic regalia and dark shoes and accessories. They should also arrive one hour prior to the ceremony and proceed upstairs to the mezzanine.

Parking is available for guests in the Oak Street Deck and surface lot as well as the Sustella Deck. Handicapped parking can be found in the parking lot along the west side of the P.E. Complex; ask a usher for direction to special seating reserved for persons with disabilities. All guests are asked to arrive early and refrain from saving seats, bringing air horns and shouting during the ceremony.

A professional photographer will take official photos at the event. Graduates are invited to a reception outside the P.E. Complex near the tennis courts immediately following the ceremony.
