VSU Hosts Fall Commencement; Chancellor Performs PresidentialInvestiture

VALDOSTA - More than 750 total graduates will turn tassels or receive graduate hoods during fall commencement ceremonies at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, in the university's P.E. Complex. Those at the 4 p.m. event will witness the official investiture of Dr. Patrick J. Schloss as the eighth president of Valdosta State University.

Graduates of the College of Education and Air Force ROTC Detachment 172 will be in the spotlight during the 10 a.m. ceremony. The 1 p.m. ceremony will feature students earning diplomas from the College of the Arts, College of Nursing and the Harley Langdale Jr. College of Business Administration as well as the masters programs for social work and library and information science.

At 4 p.m., graduates from the College of Arts and Sciences will cross the stage and University System of Georgia Chancellor Erroll B. Davis will formally install Dr. Patrick J. Schloss as VSU's eighth president.
