VSU Hosts Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration

VALDOSTA - Valdosta State University’s Office of Equal Opportunity Programs and Multicultural Affairs will host the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, in the Magnolia Room of the University Center.

Herman Boone, former head football coach at T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Va. Will serve as keynote speaker. Boone is best known as the character portrayed by Oscar Award-winner Denzel Washington in the inspirational film “Remember the Titans.”
