VSU Science Seminar continues with Investigative Interviewing andDetecting Deception

As part of its continuing Science Seminar Series, the College of Arts and Sciences at Valdosta State University will present a lecture entitled, Investigative Interviewing and Detecting Deception by Dr. Kevin Colwell on November 2, at 4p.m. in Powell Hall.

Colwell will detail a system of interviewing that he and his colleagues have developed. The technique is an initial tool used by police officers and others to gain information during an investigation. Dr. Colwell will discuss the specifics of the interviewing strategies and behaviors indicative of deception, as related to investigations and interpersonal relationships.

Dr. Kevin Colwell is a professor in the Department of Psychology at Valdosta State University.
