VSU International Students to Participate in Valdosta-LowndesAzalea Festival

Valdosta State University's international students will contribute to the Fourth Annual Valdosta-Lowndes County Azalea Festival, which will be held from March 11 to 13. The festival will have an international dimension, recognizing the diversity of the Valdosta community.

Festivities will begin on the front lawn on Friday, March 11, with the Parade of Nations and International Extravaganza provided by VSU's international students and faculty.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Azalea Festival will dedicate an entire area of Drexel Park to the International Village, a site where the students will represent the nations of the world.

The village will have booths displaying various artifacts and souvenirs. There will be ethnic dresses, costumes, entertainment, and food. The program will also feature Asian, African, and Latin American performances. Collectively, over 30 countries will be showcased in the International Village and Parade of Nations.
