Interdisciplinary Program to focus on Latin American Business

Valdosta State University's third interdisciplinary international program will be presented at noon on Wednesday, March 23, in Pound Hall Auditorium located on Rea and Lillian Steele North Campus.

The lecture will focus on Latin American business from the aspect of expatriate managers, including overviews of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the MERCOSUR, the Common Market of the South. Andres Villegas, International Business Marketing and Government Affairs Manager of Langdale Industries, will conduct the overview.

Villegas, a Colombian native, will address a senior level International Management class taught by Dr. Fred A. Ware, VSU professor of management. Practical advice will be administered to expatriate managers and business people who are unfamiliar with this part of the world.

The Harley Langdale, Jr. College of Business Administration's Management Department and the Center for International Programs (CIP) are endorsing the event.

This program is the third installment of five programs scheduled for the spring semester. Future programs include Africa on April 13 and Australia on April 27.

The public is welcome to attend these various class presentations by campus speakers. Visitor parking passes for presentation attendees are free and available at the VSU Parking and Transportation Office.
