VSU's Jekyll Island Musical Theatre Festival ready to run from Mayto July

The Jekyll Island Musical Theatre Festival, a program of Valdosta State University and the Jekyll Island Authority, kicks-off the 2004 summer season on May 28 with Forever Plaid, a story of unrealized dreams and second chances. The second show of the season, Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, based on the tale of Joseph and his 11 brothers from the Bible, premiers on June 11. The Lerner and Lowe musical, Brigadoon, opens on June 18. All three shows will periodically rotate through July 25 except for Mondays. The Jekyll Island Musical Theatre Festival is designated by the Georgia General Assembly as the State Musical Theatre of Georgia. Performances take place in the Jekyll Island Amphitheatre on Stable Road in the Historic District. To order tickets beginning May 20, please call (912) 635-4060.
