Students from Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind perform at VSU

The Dance Troupe from the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind will perform in the University Center Magnolia Room Nov. 1, 11 a.m.

The troupe, which includes 23 high school juniors and seniors, perform throughout the state of Florida for schools, colleges, civic and service organizations. They have performed for the Florida Legislature at the State Capitol and at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C.

According to Kimberly Godden Special Service Program coordinator, the group entertains the audience with sign language and dance to a wide variety of music.

"It is a lot of fun and both auditory and visually stimulating," said Godden. "When you leave you will be signing, signing and dancing. It is one of the best programs we do all year."

This program is open to the public and free of charge.
