First Year Advising

Beginning Fall 2014, all first-year students entering VSU will be assigned a Centralized Advising team member to guide them through their first year of college. Your academic advisor will serve as a point of contact for you and will help you in your transition from high school to college. Whenever you should have a question or concern and are unsure of how to resolve your issue, your academic advisor can help! Your academic advisor will guide you to understand the courses you will take throughout the next year. Advisors also ensure your record is clear for the registration of your second and third semesters at Valdosta State University. Once you earn 30 semester hours and have officially become a sophomore, you will be assigned an advisor within the department of your major.
Our Centralized Advising team looks forward to assisting you as you start your journey at Valdosta State University!
