Welcome to the OASIS Center for Advising and First Year Programs web site! We are "home" to the Freshman Year Experience, the Arts & Sciences Advising Center, Bachelor of General Studies, and Learning Support. If you are new to Valdosta State University, you have some pleasant surprises in store. If you do know us, you will recognize many of the traditions that are the hallmark of VSU, plus some outstanding innovations. Our mission statement describes our strong commitment to quality education. Students consistently tell us that we are delivering our promises through caring faculty and staff, outstanding academic programs, opportunities for personal and professional growth, collaborative learning, and academic advising. The best way to experience what we have to offer is to visit in person.
