Each April, the accounting faculty gathers to honor the best Accounting Principles students from the previous year. Faculty nominate students that earn a grade of A or B in their class. Beta Alpha Psi, the accounting and finance honor society, hosts the event. The luncheon is sponsored by multiple accounting organizations, public accounting firms and corporations.

The luncheon’s purpose is to acknowledge students’ hard work in the ACCT 2101 and 2102 classes, and to educate them about professional accounting opportunities.  The luncheon includes a guest speaker from industry, banking, health care, or public accounting.

Each student receives a t-shirt and a door-prize ticket.  Beta Alpha Psi faculty advisor, Dr. Ray Elson, gives away multiple door prizes.
