Arrival Information

The ELI can arrange for free pick up from the Valdosta Airport or the Valdosta Greyhound bus station, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or after hours if advance notice is given.

Valdosta is easily reached by plane, bus, or car. 

Valdosta, via Interstate 75, connects to many major cities such as Atlanta and Orlando, FL.

Orientation & Testing

New Student Orientation is offered each term before classes begin.  Students learn about the Intensive English Program, take placement tests, and are assigned a class schedule.  

Students are placed in one of six levels based on their performance on the placement test.   

During orientation, students learn about Valdosta State University programs and campus life. 

*New students are advised to arrive in Valdosta at least three days before Orientation in order to find housing and recover from travel.
